Today we are testing the most popular all-in-one baby carrier from Germany. All-in-one means it is suited for newborns up to small children!
Material
The organic cotton of the Manduca is very comfy when wearing. It was awarded the best carrier from Stiftung Warentest 2020.
With Cotton the color washes out when washed too often or from the sun. That’s why we recommend to wash the carrier only when necessary!
Preparations
The babys sits in the recommended M-position:
For that the carrier has to be adjusted to the baby’s size:
The babys can by carried in front, on the hip and on the back:
Unfortunately it cannot look forward when worn in front (which is not healthy anyways).
BTW when talking about a healthy back: The straps can also be crossed if you prefer that:
The Manduca has zippers in front to extend (or shorten) the height:
With the Manduca the baby hood is used as a neck rest when winded up.
BTW the carrier has a way to shorten the straps if they are tangling around:

Conclusion
We think the Manduca XT is an excellent choice. We like the adjustability, that is made in the EU and that our baby falls asleep quickly. Only the design is a little bit meh.
